These terms and conditions set out the terms and conditions under which you may use our website, www.handpickedtoys.co.uk. Your use of this website constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. If you do not accept the terms and conditions, you are not entitled to use the website and should navigate away before performing any further actions on the website.

Huboo Technologies Limited reserve the right to change these terms and conditions as and when required and any such changes will be effective immediately when they are posted on the website. Website Content Errors

Whilst we endeavour to ensure that all information on our website is completely accurate at all times, there may be occasions whereby some of this information may prove to be incomplete or erroneous. Such errors or omissions may refer to prices, product specifications or suitability for specific age ranges. Any such errors, should they occur, are completely unintentional and will be rectified as soon as humanly possible by our website content management team. In the event that errors in pricing are reflected on the website, we are not bound to supply goods at the incorrect price. We reserve the right to amend any such errors and update product-related content without notice. 

In the event that items are supplied which do not match the specifications outlined on product descriptions or sizes, in most instances we will be happy to offer a refund or exchange unless the error is of no material consequence. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale and section on ‘Returns’ below for full details. 

Accuracy Of Images & Specifications

We endeavour to present all specifications and images of products for sale on this website as accurately as possible. It is important to acknowledge that images of products may appear differently on different screens and resolutions and as such we accept no responsibility for minor variations in assumed colouration of products purchased through the website. Furthermore, some products are provided only with approximate dimensions due to nuances in the manufacturing process. Again, we accept no responsibility for minor variations in such sizes whereby dimensions have been stated as an approximation. 

Terms & Conditions Of Sale

By placing any order on this website you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions of sale. These terms and conditions are governed by and in regulatory alignment with the Distance Selling Regulations under current law. The legally binding contract with Huboo Technologies Limited is formed between ourselves and you, the customer, at the point of dispatch and not before. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order prior to dispatch without prior notice. Whereby goods are collected under a ‘click and collect’ scheme, the contract of sale is formed at the point in time at which you collect the goods.

In placing any order with us through this website you agree that;

  • All information provided to us is correct & complete at the time of order
  • You are the authorised signatory and holder of any card / payment account used to make payment
  • You will notify us immediately of any changes to any information provided to us that is required by us to successfully fulfil your order including changes to payment information
  • Huboo Technologies Limited may collect, store and make use of information provided to us as outlined within our Privacy Policy.
  • In confirming any order with us you accept these terms and conditions of sale in full
  • It is your responsibility to ensure any communications regarding your order sent by us are read and acknowledged. When such communications are sent they are presumed as read unless otherwise notified.
  • You accept all terms and conditions of sale as well as terms and conditions relating to use of this website

We reserve the right to amend or alter these terms and conditions at any time and without notice. The terms and conditions live and published at the time you confirm your order on the website shall prevail above any subsequent amended or altered terms and conditions.

Promotions, Discounts & Special Offers

We will, on occasion, advertise special promotions and offers on the website. These may include, but are not limited to; price reductions, free gifts with purchases, discounts to be applied to orders which exceed a certain total amount (in GBP), delivery upgrades and free delivery.

Whereby free gifts are offered with purchases, any such gifts are available only whilst stocks last. In the unlikely event that you should place an order including a free gift and this item is no longer available, we reserve the right to offer an alternative free gift in its place. We will not offer discounts or price reductions against any such orders in line with the recommended retail price of any such free gifts. Should you not wish to receive the order with an alternative free gift, you reserve the right to cancel your order unless the order has already been dispatched. Whereby such orders have already been dispatched, you may return the full order in line with our Returns policy.

Displayed Prices

Prices displayed at the time of purchase are the prices you will be charged, notwithstanding any in-basket promotions or voucher codes. We are unable to offer refunds to cover any changes or corrections in price which may take place between the point at which you order a product and the point at which you receive / collect the product. 

Whereby recommended retail prices are shown against prices these are recommended prices issued by our manufacturer and supplier partners. Where ‘was’ prices are shown, these refer to earlier selling prices advertised on this website for a period of at least 30 days and shall apply to products for no longer than a period of 30 days thereafter (in other words, promotional prices shall apply for as long as the higher, was price shall apply).

Buy One Get One Free / Multi-Item Discount Offers

Whereby promotions are offered to include free products or discount against further products when you purchase another / other products, the ‘Free’ or ‘Reduced’ item will always be deemed to be the least expensive item.  

Discount Codes

Discount codes, where available, must be applied in the ‘Basket’ page of the website. If you are placing an order by telephone, you may also reference this discount code by telephone and our team will confirm if the code is valid and shall be applied by our customer service team to your phone order whereby the code is valid.

Should you enter a code that does not work, please check its validity. If you think a discount code should work and does not, please contact our customer service team who will be happy to assist.

Discount codes may carry their own terms and conditions - please read these carefully from the source of the discount code.

Contract & Order Cancellation

We aim to dispatch all orders for in-stock items within 1 day. As such, whilst we are happy to offer order amendments and cancellations of orders prior to dispatch, this is only possible whereby you contact us and confirm cancellation/amendment with us before the dispatch process has commenced - usually within an hour or less of receiving your order and its payment. 

Please check your order carefully before submitting it and confirming the order and payment.  

You are entitled to cancel your order and this contract with us within 30 days of receiving the goods from us. Should you wish to cancel your order and this contract with us we will refund you the price of the item purchased provided that; 

  • The item(s) is in its original, re-saleable condition
  • The item(s) has not been opened or used
  • The item(s) is packaged in its original packaging and the packaging is not damaged (this does not apply to our postage packaging, but the product’s own packaging). 

Please note that items remain under the duty of care of you, the customer, until they have been successfully returned and confirmed as being in their original, re-saleable condition by us. 

Your right to return products as unwanted / unsuitable does not apply to products which fall into the following categories;

  • Unsealed media, including CDs, Video Games, DVDs, Cassettes or other similar media
  • Bedding
  • Items with seal strips which have been removed after purchase

These exclusions do not affect your statutory rights on orders for such products.

Postage & Shipping

Our default delivery method is 48 hour Royal Mail service. For large items whereby this method of carriage is unsuitable, we reserve the right to ship items with other couriers, such as DPD or UPS. 

Delivery is FREE on all orders from our store. We do, however, reserve the right to charge return postage on items should you be unable to arrange your own means of return transit for goods you wish to return.

Some items are sent direct from supplier warehouses on occasion. As such, we are not always able to choose which service is used for delivery of these items. We endeavour to indicate expected delivery times as clearly and accurately as possible alongside each product on our website.

Out Of Stock Items

We endeavour to only display in stock items for sale on this website. In the unlikely event that our inventory display proves inaccurate or stock is not readily available for dispatch upon receipt of the order, we reserve the right to cancel and refund the order immediately.

In the event we need to cancel an order due to the item(s) being out of stock, you will receive confirmation by email that the order has been cancelled and that a full refund has been authorised for processing. We will issue refunds for any such cancelled orders within 24 working hours. Sometimes refunds may not appear for a further 2-3 working days depending on your bank’s transaction clearing times. 

Whereby one item is out of stock from an order with multiple items attached, we will simply cancel and refund the out of stock item and process the remaining items on the order as usual. 

Returns

We are happy to offer refunds or exchanges on any goods purchased from us up to 30 days after you receive them, provided that;

  • The goods are unused
  • Unopened
  • In original, re-saleable condition
  • Are in their original packaging with all contents included (including any instructions, leaflets etc)

All returns must be approved prior to you returning them to us. Authorised returns must be clearly labelled with your order reference number and name so we can easily identify the order to facilitate prompt exchange/refund. As above, we are unable to accept returns on the following goods unless faulty / damaged;

  • Unsealed media, including CDs, Video Games, DVDs, Cassettes or other similar media
  • Bedding
  • Items with seal strips which have been removed after purchase

Damaged Goods

In the unlikely event that you receive damaged goods from us, we will happily exchange the item(s) for replacement or full refund. If you receive damaged goods and wish to return the goods for a refund you will not be charged return postage. 

Whenever goods are received damaged, we will ask you to email us details of the damage and corresponding digital photographs. These should be sent to sales@handpickedtoys.co.uk.

Refunds

We aim to process all refunds as quickly as possible. Whereby we cancel orders due to stock shortages or at our own initiation, we will issue refunds within 24 working hours. For all customer-requested cancellations, returns and partial refunds, please allow up to 14 days for us to process refunds. Refunds will be made in the same method as the original payment was made without exception.

Please note that banks and card providers operate different transaction processing times and as such refunds may take longer to clear with some banks than others. This is strictly outside of our control.

Data Protection

We value your privacy. We will never share your details with any third party organisation other than for the purpose of shipping and fulfilling your order. Full details of how we manage your data is available in our Privacy Policy.

Payment Methods

All orders must be paid for in full prior to dispatch / collection for click and collect orders.

We accept the following forms of payment;

  • Credit Card including Mastercard, Visa Credit, American Express
  • Debit Card including Visa Debit
  • Paypal
  • Apple Pay

We do not accept cheque or bank transfer. 

Warranties

Most items include a one year manufacturer's warranty as standard. Please check your specific item for full details. To make any warranty based claim you must provide proof of purchase; your receipt / online order confirmation. We are unable to process any warranty claims without proof of purchase.

Safety & Age Recommendations 

We work hard to ensure that our products are safe and only made available to appropriate age groups. We will ensure every product listing has an age suitability indicator listed in the product description and attributes. Please also, however, check the box/packaging when you receive items to confirm that the age guidelines indicated on the website are consistent with that on the packaging. 

  • Always read the safety instructions included with products. 
  • Do not allow younger children to use toys indicated as unsuitable for their age range.
  • Check for the CE mark
  • Do not allow children to play with toys with small parts unsupervised
  • Check from time to time to ensure products are not worn and have not become at all dangerous or hazardous
  • Ensure that all packaging is removed before the child plays with the toy - packaging can be dangerous if swallowed or covers the airways.

As a responsible retailer, we are bound by law to advise you of the easy and safe ways to recycle and eco-friendly disposal of unwanted electrical equipment.

The Recycle More online platform allows you to locate your nearest recycling centre - just type in your postcode. 

Recycling old and unwanted electrical equipment is vital to prevent the build up of hazardous substances in land-fill, contaminating land and water and endangering the environment and its inhabitants. Furthermore, many components can be re-used, recycled or repaired.
